The MediPines AGM100 is an industry award winning, FDA-cleared, advanced pulmonary gas exchange technology that exclusively provides Oxygen Deficit, a surrogate for the alveolar to arterial oxygen difference (AaDO2), as well as blood oxygen level (gPaO2), lung carbon dioxide level (PETCO2), and other sensitive measurements of pulmonary gas exchange, relevant for patients with respiratory and cardiac complications. Steve Lee, MBA
Steve Lee is a MedTech innovator and entrepreneur who co-invented the non-invasive respiratory gas exchange technology AGM® with Dr. John West. His innovation has been recognized by leading organizations like MedTech Innovator and the World Health Organization. He has presented his cardiorespiratory innovations at medical events and academic institutions. He was also an invited speaker on technology innovation at the World Engineering Conference and Convention in Kyoto. Earlier, Steve led complex aerospace engineering projects at Hughes Space Systems and advised Fortune 500 companies on strategy and corporate development as a management consultant with Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School and pursued graduate studies in Systems Architecting at USC. His current focus is on advancing clinical impact for healthcare providers and the broader ecosystem.

John B. West. M.D., Ph.D., D.Sc
John B. West. M.D., Ph.D., D.Sc., Medical Advisory Chair, Co-inventor of the AGM100. A world-renowned respiratory physiologist, Dr. West is a Fellow of the National Academy of Medicine and served as president of the American Physiological Society. Emeritus professor of medicine and physiology, at UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. West remains actively connected and engaged in respiratory physiology research, publishing multiple peer-reviewed journal papers every year. He has authored over 500 scientific articles and more than twenty medical books, including Respiratory Physiology: The Essentials and Pulmonary Pathophysiology: The Essentials, two medical textbook classics.

Dr. Phillip Ainslie, PhD
Dr. Ainslie is the Co-director of the Centre of Heart, Lung, and Vascular Health at the University of British Columbia, Canada. He is also Professor and Canada Research Chair in Human and Applied Physiology. Dr. Ainslie has published more than 400 peer reviewed papers and recently co-authored the 6th edition of Ward, Milledge & West’s High Altitude Medicine and Physiology. Dr. Ainslie is a globally sought after lecturer in medical schools and cardiopulmonary scientific field.

Dr. Aidan Raney, M.D., FACC
Dr. Raney is the former medical Director of Cardiovascular Surgery at Jeffrey M. Carlton Heart and Vascular Institute at Hoag Hospital Newport Beach. He is also the former surgical director of Hoag Heart Valve Center and recipient of the James and Pamela Muzzy Endowed Chair. Dr. Raney has built a team of surgeons, nurses, and technicians that have been consistently ranked #1 in overall patient outcomes in Orange County and one of the top heart surgery programs in California.

Dr. Gary C. Sieck, PhD
Dr. Sieck is a past president of the American Physiological Society and Editor-in-Chief of both the Journal of Applied Physiology and Physiology, premier research journals. Dr. Sieck is a Vernon F. and Earline D. Endowed Professor and Distinguished Investigator in the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and Science and a consultant in the Department of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering with joint appointments in the Departments of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine and the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Sieck's research focuses on respiratory muscle physiology and cell signaling. He has published more than 450 peer-reviewed papers.

Dr. Dylan Sieck, PhD
Dr. Sieck is responsible for advancing MediPines AGM100 utility and clinical uses with the medical community. He also advises and supports multiple ongoing clinical studies with various medical institutions to further the understanding and impact of pulmonary gas exchange on patient outcomes. He brings over fifteen years of research experience, with over 20 peer reviewed publications. Prior to starting with MediPines. Dr. Sieck was involved with research at the University of Oregon and Mayo Clinic specializing in respiratory and cardiovascular physiology.

Healthcare Analytics Director
Andrew McFadden, MBA
Andrew leads the healthcare analytics effort of MediPines. He currently overseas healthcare macro trends and reimbursement as they pertain to cardiorespiratory measurements in hospitals and clinical settings. He developed multiple digital, customer journey and analytics products in media and sold the company to a venture backed software company prior to joining MediPines. He brings over 20 years’ experience executing growth strategies for small and medium technology companies. He received his MBA from the UCI Paul Merage school of business.

YJ Lee, MS/PhD*
YJ directs engineering activities for MediPines. He is an expert in advanced biomedical sensors and engineering on cardiorespiratory physiology sensors. He also is an expert in waveform analysis of respiratory gases from patients and pioneered several methods that are key to AGM100 development. He is a listed author on over 50 publications for IEEE Sensors Journal, Journal of Medical Systems, and Journal of Electrical Engineering Technology. He was a biomedical engineering doctoral candidate (ABD) and has his Masters in biomedical engineering from USC.

Matthew Osburn
Matthew is an experienced Quality and Regulatory Engineer with over 5 years of experience in the life sciences industry. At MediPines, he is dedicated to ensuring that all products meet or exceed both domestic and international regulatory standards, as well as the company’s own rigorous internal quality requirements. Matthew also plays a crucial role in maintaining compliance and facilitating approvals.

Sammy Lee
Sammy currently leads clinical education and training to support clinicians and hospitals launching AGM100. He was influential in MediPines effort with World Health Organization recognition for innovative technology, and pivotal in obtaining prestigious awards including those from Children’s National Consortium for Pediatric Device Innovation. He also advises and supports MediPines distributors as we expand to meet the needs of international health systems.

Parth Argawal, MBA
Parth leads the development of data analytics products at MediPines. He collaborates with clinical and engineering teams to enhance data-driven capabilities and R&D initiatives and to provide actionable insights on healthcare effectiveness for clinical audiences. Before joining MediPines, Parth was a hardware and software engineer at Viavi Solutions, a global leader in networks and optical technology. He holds an MBA from the University of Toronto.
