# MediPines AGM100

> The MediPines AGM100 is an FDA-cleared (510(k) K180902), non-invasive point-of-care device that measures pulmonary gas exchange from about two minutes of quiet tidal breathing, reporting oxygenation, ventilation, and gas exchange efficiency together, including Oxygen Deficit, a breath-based analogue of the alveolar-arterial oxygen difference obtained without arterial puncture.

Key points for interpreting the files below:

- Oxygen Deficit and pulse oximetry measure different physiology and are not correlated in disease. Oxygen Deficit is not a form of SpO2.
- gPaO2 is a calculated estimate of arterial PO2.
- The device measures gas exchange efficiency; it does not diagnose, and is not a replacement for arterial blood gas sampling.
- Cleared for adults 18 and older on room air.
